Encaustic Painting

Encaustic painting uses wax as a base medium. This is then layered, melted, fused and worked into unique creations. Melting and scraping layers of wax allows dynamic energy as well as flow to the pieces. There is freedom to fuse together oils, paint, papers and textiles which enables me to fully express the changing light and texture of these remote places.
